I just had to do this video. We’ve just spent four months in Derby, in the north of Western Australia where I have been a locum pastor at the Derby Baptist Church. We lived on site and I loved the wildlife we encountered while there.
But some surprise visitors that we had each morning at 6am were completely unexpected in the harsh Kimberley environment. They were fairly timid so I had to set up a camera on a tripod and use a remote to start the video. Here’s the outcome. Enjoy this short video.
There are a few more videos that I have prepared during our time in Derby which I’ll be posting in the near future. Make sure you click “follow” so you get notification when I publish next.
Welcome back Rob. We’ve missed your programs. and really enjoyed them. Thanks Great to see how an older building has been born again and to reflect on what God has done in the lives of people there over so many years. I fist ran a mission there in 1968 when Brian Viney was the Anglican minister there. In fact he initiated my first ever tour into the north west financially supported by friends in UK and MMA. I had 12 weeks flat out on that trip spending a week in each community running after school missions, doing RE in schools, preaching running training sessions in ministry with children and families etc Supporting and encouraging ministers was a strategic side effect too. I repeated that trip three times and then as the places developed made more focussed and shorter trips. I have so many happy memories of those far off days and am so grateful to God for every one of those wonderful experiences. Every now and then I get to meet someone in whose life God planted His seed in their lives and nurtured it to a fuller fruitfulness. I’m sure that is so true for you and Robyn especially as you are able to reconnect with such folk. Of course there are still those that as yet you know nothing but God still works on unseen by His Spirit
Blessings and Shalom
Michael and Noel
Thanks Michael, great to hear from you
